Lead Adviser To The Deputy Secretary at Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage

Sebastian Clarke has extensive experience in the cultural and heritage sectors, currently serving as Lead Adviser to the Deputy Secretary at Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage since March 2015. Previously, Sebastian held roles such as Arts Policy Manager and Principal Adviser, focusing on capability funding for New Zealand's cultural sector. A recent position as Principal Policy Advisor at the Department of Internal Affairs involved providing policy advice related to the National Library of New Zealand and Archives New Zealand. Earlier career experiences include working as a gallerist at Anna Miles Gallery and as a library assistant at the Architecture and Planning Library. Sebastian holds a Master of Architecture with a focus on Architectural History and Criticism from Victoria University of Wellington and a Bachelor of Planning with First Class Honours from The University of Auckland.
