Bev Craig currently serves as Vice Chair and Leader of the Labour Group at the Local Government Association, where Labour is the largest group with the most Councillors. Since May 2011, Bev has been the Leader of Manchester City Council and a City Councillor for the Burnage ward, with roles as Deputy Leader and Executive Member for Adults, Health, and Wellbeing. Bev has held various positions, including Co-Chair of the Board at Manchester Local Care Organisation and Deputy Chair at Manchester Health and Care Commissioning. Previous experience includes serving as Assistant National Officer at Unison, National Co-Chair of LGBT Labour, and Public Engagement Manager at Manchester Metropolitan University. Bev holds a Master's degree in Political Science from The University of Manchester and a Postgraduate qualification in Local Government Management from the University of Warwick.
