Josh McLoughlin

Josh McLoughlin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in commercial management, sports writing, and sales. Currently serving as the Commercial Manager - Leisure, Contracts and Events at Manchester City Council since October 2022, McLoughlin is responsible for securing sponsorships for major events and overseeing brand activations in the city. As the co-owner and writer for Playing Away From Home since May 2016, McLoughlin assists free agent footballers and maintains a platform dedicated to British footballers abroad. Additional roles include football writing for GRV Media and Deepdale Digest, as well as previous positions in scouting for the Football Federation Samoa and sales at Rugby League World Cup 2021. McLoughlin's background also includes significant contributions to Manchester United in hospitality sales and customer service, as well as experience as a matchday programme writer for Chorley Football Club and a football journalist at Here Is The City. McLoughlin holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) (Hons) in Business Management from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
