Ben McFarlan

Ben McFarlan has a diverse work experience in various roles related to football analysis and coaching. Their most recent position was as a Scouting and Recruitment Analyst at Manchester United, starting in October 2016. Prior to that, they worked as a Performance Analyst for Swansea City Football Club and Cardiff City Football Club, from 2015 to 2016 and 2014 to 2015, respectively. Ben also served as a Performance Analyst for Cardiff Metropolitan University from 2014 to 2015. Earlier in their career, Ben held roles as an Academy and Under 20's Performance Analyst at Heart of Midlothian FC and a Performance Analyst and Sport Science Intern at Heriot-Watt University. Ben also gained coaching experience as a Coach at Spartans FC and a Youth Development Coach at Edinburgh Academy Sport Center. In addition, Ben has worked as a Counsellor at Camp Twin Creeks, coaching soccer and managing a cabin of children, and as a Tutor at Dilworth School, teaching Physical Education and coaching football teams.

Ben McFarlan has a strong educational background in the field of sports and exercise science. Ben earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Sport and Exercise Science with Psychology from Heriot-Watt University, which they attended from 2009 to 2013. Ben furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Performance Analysis at Cardiff Metropolitan University from 2014 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Ben McFarlan has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in the industry. Ben completed the Prozone Performance Analysis Level 1 certification offered by Prozone Sports Ltd in July 2014. Ben also acquired a certification in Development Activities from the Scottish Football Association in June 2014.
