Nick Starkie has a diverse work experience in media asset management and metadata coordination. Nick started their career at BBC as a Broadcast Media Coordinator and later joined ITV as an ITV Sport Librarian. Nick then moved to BBC Motion Gallery, where they worked as a Media Coordinator, handling stock footage sales and archival research. At BBC Worldwide, they held roles as a Metadata Coordinator and ultimately as a Senior Metadata Executive, where they played a crucial role in delivering BBC program information and assets to digital content platforms. Nick also worked at Tesco PLC as a Media Asset Manager, managing their digital asset management system and overseeing the upload and distribution of media assets. Most recently, they worked at Global Eagle Entertainment as a Metadata Team Lead. Nick'swork experience includes responsibilities such as managing digital asset systems, creating metadata workflows, implementing quality control processes, and launching content on various platforms. Currently, they are a Media Asset Controller at Manchester United, where they are responsible for supporting the official website, app, and broadcast channel, managing the digital asset management system, and providing technical support on matchdays.
Nick Starkie attended Loughborough University from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Studies.
