Tony Taylor has a diverse work experience in the field of football coaching and scouting. Tony started their career in 2006 as the Chief Scout for Matlock Town FC in the Unibond Premier League. Tony was responsible for talent spotting and networking, providing detailed information on prospective players and opponents. In 2010, they worked as a Development Center Coach for Notts County FC, focusing on U9 and U14 age groups.

In 2011, they held coaching positions at both Hucknall Town FC and Stamford AFC, working with their first-team squads on sessions, tactics, and match day situations. Tony then joined Burton Albion FC as the Lead Academy Coach for the Youth Development Phase in 2011, before becoming Head of Youth Development Phase in 2013. During their time at Burton Albion FC, Tony focused on creating a development environment for U14 players.

In 2017, Tony joined Manchester United as an Academy Scout, scouting for emerging talent within the academy. Tony later took on the role of Regional Scout Coordinator for the Midlands region before becoming an Emerging Talent Scout. Tony'swork experience at Manchester United is ongoing.

Tony Taylor attended St Georges Park from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained a UEFA A Licence in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching.
