Leon Alkalai

Dr. Leon Alkalai is a prominent figure in the space industry, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Mandala Space Ventures since March 2021, focused on investing in Founders to create new pathways to space for humanity's benefit. Alkalai is also an Investor at Adranos, Inc. and Continuum Space Systems, alongside being a General Partner at Explorer 1 Fund, which aims to support the new space economy. As a Co-Founder and Board Member of Verrix, a JPL-spinoff, Alkalai contributes to innovations in medical equipment sterilization using NASA technology. With a distinguished 32-year tenure as a JPL Tech Fellow at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Alkalai holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCLA, where prior education included a Master's Degree in the same field and an Engineer's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Belgrade.
