Matias Hauru

Matias Hauru currently serves as a Senior Portfolio Manager for Private Debt at Mandatum Asset Management, having transitioned from the role of Portfolio Manager within the same firm. In this capacity, Matias is responsible for the selection of private debt managers and oversees a diverse range of strategies, including direct lending, opportunistic credit, and asset-backed lending. Prior to this, Matias worked at PwC Finland as a Manager in Corporate Finance, focusing on mergers and acquisitions while supervising a team and participating in recruitment efforts. Matias began the career as a Junior Credit Analyst at Pohjola Bank Plc, where responsibilities included assessing credit risk and preparing analyses for the bank's credit rating committee. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Finance from Aalto University School of Business and an HBA in Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship from Ivey Business School.
