Michael Knight-Roberts

Michael Knight-Roberts has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering. Michael started their career at Allianz in 2010 as an MI Development Analyst and worked there until 2018. In 2018, they joined Mango Solutions as a Data Engineer and later took on the roles of Senior Data Engineer and Data Engineering Team Lead. Their responsibilities included data engineering and team leadership. In 2020, they joined Ascent as a Senior Data Engineer and Team Lead, where they primarily worked on the Azure data stack, providing data engineering consultancy and solution design for clients in various industries. Additionally, they were responsible for team leadership, mentoring, and community building within the organization.

Michael Knight-Roberts completed their education at the University of Bristol from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained an MSci degree in Mathematics and Physics. In addition, they have obtained several certifications in various fields, including Spark and Map Reduce from Dataquest.io in November 2017, Data Analyst Track from Dataquest.io in October 2017, Data Warehousing for Business Intelligence from Coursera in July 2017, Coursera Mentor Community and Training Course in May 2017, Project Architecting Knowledge Certification from MicroStrategy in May 2017, and the Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineering Associate from Microsoft in March 2023.
