Dawnalyn Murakawa

Dawnalyn Murakawa is an accomplished educational leader with extensive experience in various administrative roles within school districts. Currently serving as Deputy Superintendent at Manhattan Beach Unified School District since October 2014, Murakawa previously held positions as Chief Administrative Officer and Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources at Beverly Hills Unified School District from July 2010 to September 2014. Murakawa also worked as Principal at Horace Mann School from July 2003 to June 2010 and held multiple assistant principal roles at Beverly Hills High School, Bellflower Middle/High School, and James Logan High School. Murakawa's educational credentials include an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from UCLA, a Certificate in School Business Management from the University of Southern California, and degrees from Stanford University in Education and American Studies.
