Carolina Drake is a Miami-based freelance arts and culture journalist, currently contributing to prominent publications such as the Art Newspaper, Financial Times, Artnews, Hyperallergic, and BBC Travel. Since January 2024, Carolina has been writing a monthly newsletter column that explores themes of grief, art, and the internet. With experience as an Arts and Culture journalist at Hyperallergic since 2015, Carolina also teaches at Ransom Everglades School and Manhattan Country School. A holder of a Master of Arts in Philosophy and Art from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and English Literature from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Carolina also possesses a Master's degree in Applied and Professional Ethics from the same institution.
