Steven Wu currently serves as the Chief of Appeals at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, a position held since March 2022. Prior to this role, Steven had a distinguished tenure at the Office of the New York State Attorney General from September 2008 to March 2022, where responsibilities included Deputy Solicitor General, Special Counsel, and Assistant Solicitor General. Earlier experience includes serving as an Associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP from October 2006 to September 2008, and as a Judicial Law Clerk for Judge Diana Gribbon Motz at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit from August 2005 to August 2006. Steven holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Yale Law School (2005) and an AB in Social Studies from Harvard University (2002), and is a graduate of San Marino High School (1998).
