Hal Turner

Interim President & CEO at Manitoba Hydro

Hal is responsible for strategically managing Manitoba Hydro’s generation, transmission, distribution, and gas assets including the engineering, construction, and project management functions. Hal is also responsible for executive oversight of the Keeyask Generating Station and the development of Manitoba Hydro’s Integrated Resource Plan.

Since joining Manitoba Hydro in 1995, Hal has held various leadership and senior leadership positions in engineering, project management and asset management. He holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. His studies also include a certificate in asset management from the Institute of Asset Management. He is a registered professional engineer in Manitoba.

Hal is an active member on the Canadian Electricity Association (CEA) Generation Council.
