Ted Manley develops strategic initiatives focused on MDK’s clients in the mortgage banking, automobile finance and timeshare industries. Clients turn to Ted for his pragmatic advice, user-friendly approach, creative problem solving and keen insights. Ted Manley is a founder and principal of Manley Deas Kochalski, LLC and its related companies. At the helm of MDK’s strategic planning, relationship management, and business development groups, he oversees the firm’s strategic direction and client relationship management. Ted has structured MDK’s evolving geographic reach and services in response to client needs and changing market conditions.

Ted’s legal background includes representing the firm's clients in bankruptcy and related state court proceedings. His bankruptcy experience ranges from routine matters involving credit card, automobile, and mortgage asset servicers to more complex Chapter 11 workout and liquidation matters involving international government services providers, automobile parts suppliers, and commercial real estate developers. Before forming MDK with Brian Deas, Ted was a director in a Seattle-based law firm that provided national creditor rights services as well as a general business attorney with a firm in Columbus.

Ted has spoken on bankruptcy and foreclosure law issues as well as the impact of technology within the legal sphere at continuing legal education seminars and national mortgage servicing and timeshare conferences, including those hosted by the American Legal & Financial Network, National Association of Credit Managers, the California Mortgage Bankers Association, and the American Resort Developers Association. His work has been published in Housing Wire and Developments Magazine, among other noted trade publications.

Ted serves as board of trustees chair for the Wellington School (Columbus, Ohio), and on the Military Warriors Support Foundation and Omicelo Cares advisory boards.

Ted holds a J.D from The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law, J.D., 1992, and an A.D., cum laude, from Kenyon College, 1986.
