Prototype Development Engineer at Manna Drone Delivery

Darren Mealiff has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Darren is currently working as a Prototype Development Engineer at Manna Drone Delivery since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Robotics and Drives as a Design Engineer from June 2019 to April 2022. Darren also served as a Design Engineer at Romaquip from August 2017 to June 2019. Darren worked as an Industrial Designer at APD Innovations from January 2014 to August 2017. Darren also held the role of CTO Product Development at Pavanu Mobility Ltd from March 2015 to April 2017.

Earlier in their career, Darren gained experience as a Design Event Coordinator at the Centre for Excellence in Universal Design (CEUD) from August 2014 to June 2015. Darren also completed an Internship at Designhub, where they gained insights into various aspects of product and brand development, manufacture, packaging, distribution, and customer relations from May 2012 to January 2014.

Darren's earlier work experience includes roles such as Maintenance Technician at Dunbia Ireland from March 2007 to December 2013, and Service and Mechanical Supervisor at RR Projects from March 2003 to March 2007. Darren also worked as a Service Engineer at Extec USA from February 2002 to March 2003, where they were involved in the service and maintenance of large scale Quarry and Recycling Plant machinery.

Darren Mealiff began their education history by obtaining an Apprentice degree in Metal Fabricator from Powerscreen Ireland from 1998 to 2002. Darren then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Industrial Design from I.T.Carlow, which they completed from 2010 to 2013. In 2012, Darren furthered their studies in Industrial and Product Design at Hochschule fur Gestaltung in Germany, where they earned another Bachelor's degree. Finally, from 2013 to 2014, they attended the Institute of Technology, Carlow to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Product Design and Innovation.

In addition to their formal education, Darren has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Darren completed the "Learn Fusion 360: The Basics" course from LinkedIn in January 2017. More recently, in 2022, they obtained certifications in "Remote Pilot Specific Category" from Safe Drone Academy in June and "Functional Safety & Sistema" from SICK Sensor Intelligence in April. Darren also completed an AED/CPR Course from the Irish Heart Foundation HSE in February 2023.
