Shane Ormonde has a diverse work experience in the field of electronics engineering. Shane is currently working at Manna Drone Delivery as a Senior Electronic Engineer, where they have been employed since June 2023. Prior to this, Shane worked as an Electronic Engineer at Manna Drone Delivery from September 2021 to July 2023.
Before joining Manna Drone Delivery, they worked at Eiratech Robotics as an Electronic Engineer from September 2020 to September 2021.
Shane started their career at Telecom Lille1 as a Research Assistant from March 2014 to June 2014, where they focused on investigating the viability of RFID technology in a shopping environment.
Shane also worked at Techworks Marine from August 2017 to January 2019 as an Electronic Engineer. In this role, Shane was responsible for developing new data collection systems, maintaining embedded Linux systems, analyzing and optimizing existing systems, and conducting fieldwork to troubleshoot and resolve problems on buoys.
In 2016, Shane had two different roles. Shane worked as a Building Management Systems Engineer at ACE Controls Inc. from May 2016 to June 2017, where they dealt with clients, commissioned projects, and worked alongside other companies to ensure deadlines were met. Shane also briefly worked as a Technical Writer at Tindie from May 2016 to December 2016, where they were responsible for driving traffic to the website and promoting project ideas using products available on Tindie.
Additionally, Shane has experience working as a Manufacturing Technician at Intel Corporation from May 2015 to October 2015, and as a Computer Aided Telephone Interviewer at Behaviour & Attitudes from July 2012 to April 2015. During their role as a Team Leader at Behaviour & Attitudes, they demonstrated clear communication skills and provided constructive feedback to improve individual performance.
Shane Ormonde pursued their education in a chronological manner, beginning in the year 2010. From 2010 to 2013, they attended Technological University Dublin, where they completed a Bachelor Engineering Tec (Ord) degree, with a focus on Electrical Engineering. After this, they furthered their studies at the Institute of Technology in Sligo, from 2017 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
