Community Partnerships and Investment Manager at Manningham Housing Association

Sadar Uddin started with Manningham Housing Association as a Community Partnerships and Investment Manager in August 2022. His career began with Citizen Advice Bureau (CAB) advising people on welfare benefit rights and housing-related casework. His experience with CAB helped him to move to a better job within a community-based charitable organisation in Burnley.

Prior to joining Manningham, he worked for Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council as a Housing Access Officer and later as a Senior Rehousing Officer. Single Regeneration Budget (SRB) Round 5 opened opportunities for him to be seconded to Ashiana Housing Association to work on a regeneration project which led to building 88 new build homes for a newly formed BME Housing Co-operative in Rochdale.

His role as a New Initiatives Manager with Ashiana Housing Association and later with Great Places Housing Group opened the horizon to work on a wide range of internally and externally funded projects and initiatives throughout Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Sheffield. A professional Housing Practitioner and a Board Member of Lancashire Black and Minority Ethnic Network and acting as a Company Secretary for BWA, a charity and a company limited by guarantee in Burney.

His ambition for MHA is to have a simple but effective, doable and measurable Community Investment Strategy for the next three years to support their customers and the community.
