James S. Shannon

James Shannon is an experienced leader in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Chairman of the Board at MannKind Corporation and Kyowa Kirin, Inc., along with roles at Horizon and myTomorrows. Shannon has been a Board Member for various companies, including ProQR Therapeutics NV and IMMODULON THERAPEUTICS LIMITED. Previously, Shannon held the position of Chief Medical Officer at GlaxoSmithKline and was Global Head of Pharma Development at Novartis. With a Doctor of Medicine degree from The Queen's University of Belfast, Shannon has a strong background in drug development and regulatory affairs, having worked with major firms such as Sandoz and Sterling Winthrop Pharmaceuticals.
