Imran Chowdhury

Imran Chowdhury serves as the Dean of the Ketner School of Business at Catawba College since September 2023 and is also an Advisory Board Member for the Workforce Development Subcommittee at Mansfield Bio-Incubator. Chowdhury previously held the position of Diana Davis Spencer Chair of Social Entrepreneurship at Wheaton College Massachusetts from 2019 to 2023, contributing to initiatives such as the Wheaton Social Impact Conference and the Life Sciences Entrepreneurship partnership. Additional academic roles include Visiting Professor at Freie Universität Berlin's International Summer and Winter University from 2015 to 2022, and various positions at Pace University from 2012 to 2019, spanning from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor. Chowdhury's earlier experience includes working as a Research Fellow and Instructor at ESSEC Business School and a Grants Manager/Project Consultant at the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative. Educational credentials include a PhD in Business Administration from ESSEC Business School, an MS in Management from INSEAD, and a BA in Anthropology & Geography from Hunter College.
