Dale Sweeney

Dale Sweeney is a seasoned maritime professional currently serving as a 3rd Mate at Manson Construction Co. since November 2015, specializing in hopper dredging operations in Newport. Sweeney's maritime journey includes extensive training and cadet experience from Maine Maritime Academy, highlighted by 60-day training cruises in both the Caribbean and Europe aboard the TSSOM, and a 74-day cadet training period on the mobile offshore drilling unit, West Auriga. Sweeney's background also encompasses a decade of experience in education as a Physical Education and Health Teacher at both Penobscot Community School and Adams School, where innovative lesson planning and student assessment were key responsibilities. Sweeney holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation Operations from Maine Maritime Academy and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Maine.
