David Hathaway

David Hathaway is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of ManTech’s Defense Sector, supporting a range of U.S. national security missions to include force projection, system modernization and information systems development and operations. He implements ManTech’s overall strategy of Bringing Digital to the Mission® by pairing innovative technologies with daily delivery excellence.

ManTech’s Defense Sector delivers a wide range of capabilities across global requirements. In support of deployed forces, ManTech both supports mission/enterprise information systems and provides technical field support. A deep bench of system and software engineers support both sustainment and integration of new technologies, with a focus on inserting digital engineering tools and practices to improve productivity and quality. ManTech is also a leader in cyber, delivering cyber training platforms and programs, system hardening and operational support.

Mr. Hathaway joined ManTech following a 25 year tenure at IBM in Public Sector executive leadership where he was charged with the development and delivery of advanced solutions for military and intelligence customers. He also served as Senior Vice President of Programs at Vectrus Systems Corporation in support of the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.

As an active-duty Communications-Computer Systems Officer for the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Hathaway managed communications networks, IT acquisition and R&D programs at Wright-Patterson AFB and at the Pentagon. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy, and a Master’s degree in Management Science from the University of Dayton.
