Julia Makinde

Julia Makinde, PhD, is an accomplished professional in the fields of drug discovery, vaccine research and development, and translational immunology. Currently serving as Managing Director at ManteisBio, Julia also represents Forum England for the British Society for Immunology and holds an honorary lecturer position at Imperial College London. With significant experience as a postdoctoral researcher at various institutions, Julia has contributed to vaccine R&D and translational immunology. Previously, Julia worked as Lead Discovery Technology Scientist and Senior Principal Scientist at BenevolentAI. Julia's educational background includes a PhD in Medicine (Immunology) from Cardiff University, an MSc in Molecular Medicine from UCL, and a BSc in Zoology from the University of Ibadan, complemented by a specialization certificate in Drug Development Product Management from UC San Diego.
