Gareth Venner is an experienced sales and marketing professional currently serving as the Director of Sales & Marketing at Mantis since November 2023. Prior to this role, Gareth worked as the Group Sales Director at BON Hotels from December 2022 to November 2023 and held the position of Group International Sales Manager for Cape Town at Protea Hotels by Marriott from July 2016 to September 2019. Earlier in their career, Gareth was a Sales Executive at Protea Hotels from April 2011 to February 2013, focusing on new business development, rate negotiations, and managing relationships within the travel trade, corporate, and production industries. Gareth Venner holds a Diploma in Marketing from IIE Varsity College and an Advanced Diploma in Hotel & Restaurant Management from Northlink College.

A collection of curated destinations inspired by sustainable adventures. Our first game reserve was built on a drought-ravaged and degraded farmland in Southern Africa’s Eastern Cape region. Rooted in conservation, Mantis pursues sustainable business practices and develops tourism products that are respectful of the environment and communities in which they operate.
