Joel also worked at Johnson Controls as a Project Development Engineer, providing technical expertise and overseeing energy performance contracts, and at Custom Energy as an Energy Engineer, evaluating energy and water use and developing utility cost-saving projects.
Joel Asrael holds certifications as a Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP), and Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). Joel'sexperience includes managing teams, sales, program management, and technical analysis.
Joel Asrael has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Natural Sciences from Hofstra University, which they obtained from 1987 to 1991. Joel furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Heat Transfer and Thermodynamics at ASU from 1994 to 1997.
In terms of certifications, Joel Asrael obtained the LEED Professional Accredited certification from USGBC Colorado in January 2003. Joel became a Professional Engineer through the State of Colorado in December 2013. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Energy Manager certification from the Association of Energy Engineers in January 2001.
