Kevin Mellen

Kevin Mellen has a diverse range of work experience in the construction industry. Kevin started their career with Target Corporation in 2005, first serving as a Roofing Foreman before being promoted to Building Envelope Project Lead. In these roles, they managed waterproofing projects, developed specifications, budgets, and scopes of work, and supervised teams.

After leaving Target Corporation in 2012, Kevin worked at several other companies. Kevin was a Certified Roofing Technician at Roth Brothers Construction, where they performed maintenance, investigated building envelope deficiencies, and provided quality assurance on roof replacements.

Kevin then joined Sebesta as a Construction Quality Manager and Building Envelope Specialist. In this role, they provided project management and on-site observation, reviewed specifications and details, and ensured quality control.

Following their time at Sebesta, Kevin held positions at different companies such as CANY, SIKA SARNAFIL, Caldwell & Walsh Building Construction, Inc., NORESCO, and Vidaris, Inc. These roles varied from project management to regional technical management and consulting.

Most recently, Kevin joined Mantis Innovation as a Senior Roof Designer. Overall, Kevin Mellen has accumulated extensive experience and expertise in roofing, building envelope systems, and project management throughout their career.

Kevin Mellen attended Bemidji State University from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Prior to that, from 1997 to 1999, they attended South Dakota State University. However, there is no information available regarding their degree or field of study during that time. In terms of additional certifications, Kevin Mellen obtained the BECxP and CxA+BE certifications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in December 2018.
