James Birney is a seasoned product management and technology professional with over a decade of experience in leading product strategies and engineering teams. Currently serving as the Chief Product Officer at MANTRA since May 2025, Birney previously held the position of Group Product Manager at Immutable and Atlassian. At Google, Birney contributed significantly to Google Maps and ARCore, spearheading initiatives such as the Multiplayer AR API and the Visual Positioning System.
