Nicholas Krapels

Nicholas Krapels is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic roles and investment management within the DeFi and blockchain sectors. As Chief Strategy Officer at MANTRA from July 2020 to February 2024, Nicholas led strategic initiatives for hybrid working environments related to Real World Assets. In addition, Nicholas served as Chief Investment Officer at Fomocraft, overseeing investment strategies for a hybrid VC and advisory firm, and as Chief Strategy Officer at Royale, managing token economic strategies and liquidity pool optimizations. Previous positions include Strategy Advisor at FinNexus, where guidance was provided on connecting traditional finance with decentralized protocols, and Lecturer at IES Abroad, where a course on Chinese Economy & Politics was taught. Nicholas holds a Ph.D. in Chinese Politics from East China Normal University, where research focused on the interplay between Chinese politics, financial reforms, and blockchain technology, complemented by an IMBA in Finance and Global Supply Chain from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business.
