Sofie Beernaert

Sofie Beernaert is a legal and human resources professional with extensive experience in corporate law and compliance. Currently serving as Head of Legal & Compliance and Human Resources at Manuchar since November 2017, Sofie has been integral to the company's operations across more than 35 countries. In addition, Sofie holds the position of Chief Legal & People Officer at IBJ-IJE since June 2015 and has served as Co-President of the IBJ Practice Group Corporate Law & Governance. Previous roles include legal counsel at Ackermans & van Haaren and co-chairman of the Tax & Legal Committee at the Belgian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association. Sofie's academic background includes a Master Class in Corporate Finance from Vlerick Business School and an LLM in Law from the University of Cambridge.
