Chip Davis

Chip Davis has extensive experience in the financial and audit sectors. Chip currently holds the position of VP, Internal Audit at Manufacturers Bank since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Compliance Testing and Monitoring at Protective Life from 2019 to 2022, where they developed a testing group and provided solutions to ensure compliance with industry regulations. Chip also worked as an Audit Manager at Infinity Insurance from 2018 to 2019, overseeing financial and operational audit projects. Before that, Chip held various roles at BBVA Compass, including Bank Vice President - Audit Team Leader from 2014 to 2018, where they managed complex audits and communicated findings to senior management. Chip began their career as an Internal Auditor at Superior Bank in 2007 and has also worked at DST Health Solutions and SouthTrust Bank in earlier roles.

Chip Davis earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management and Healthcare Management from The University of Alabama, where they studied from 1996 to 2002. Following that, they pursued a BS in Accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2006 to 2008. Chip also obtained various certifications throughout their career, including Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager from the New York Bankers Association in June 2017, Certified Fiduciary and Investment Risk Specialist (CFIRS) from the Cannon Financial Institute in May 2017, and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in January 2014.
