Emma Cassidy is an experienced project manager currently overseeing various projects at MTC Training since May 2023. Previously, Emma served as Project Lead at the University of Oxford from February 2019 to September 2023, managing significant educational research initiatives. Emma's earlier roles include Head of Learning and Development at Adviza Partnership, where skills analysis and digital learning transformation were key focus areas. Emma also has a background in leading teams to support at-risk youth and has provided guidance and coaching to young people in educational settings. Emma holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Spanish and French from Swansea University, alongside various professional qualifications in project management and career coaching.

The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) develops and proves innovative manufacturing processes and technologies in an agile, low risk environment, in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. They focus on delivering bespoke manufacturing system solutions for their customers.They operate some of the most advanced manufacturingequipment in the world, and employ a team of highly skilled engineers, many of whom are leading experts in their field. This creates a high quality environment for the development and demonstration of new processes and technologies on an industrial scale.The MTC’s areas of expertise are directly relevant to both large and small companies, and are applicable across a wide range of industry sectors. The MTC’s members include global manufacturing companies from multiple sectors. Research partners include the University of Birmingham, University of Nottingham, Loughborough University and TWI Ltd.The MTC is part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, supported by Innovate UK.
