Matthew Bastock is an experienced Programme Manager and Recruitment Coordinator at the Manufacturing Technology Centre since July 2016, specializing in recruiting talent for high-value manufacturing careers and supporting applicants in advanced research projects. Prior to this role, Matthew held various managerial positions at Henley College Coventry, overseeing employer-responsive provisions, sales activities, and stakeholder relationships for apprenticeships and qualifications from April 2009 to July 2016. Matthew's earlier experience includes recruitment management for the Ford Motor Company at Skillnet and coordinating training programs for automotive apprentices at Retial Motor Industry Training and Cater and Carter. Currently pursuing a Chartered Management degree at the University of Roehampton, Matthew combines a strong professional background with ongoing education in business administration and management.

The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) develops and proves innovative manufacturing processes and technologies in an agile, low risk environment, in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. They focus on delivering bespoke manufacturing system solutions for their customers.They operate some of the most advanced manufacturingequipment in the world, and employ a team of highly skilled engineers, many of whom are leading experts in their field. This creates a high quality environment for the development and demonstration of new processes and technologies on an industrial scale.The MTC’s areas of expertise are directly relevant to both large and small companies, and are applicable across a wide range of industry sectors. The MTC’s members include global manufacturing companies from multiple sectors. Research partners include the University of Birmingham, University of Nottingham, Loughborough University and TWI Ltd.The MTC is part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, supported by Innovate UK.
