Steve Smith possesses extensive experience in manufacturing and engineering, currently serving as Associate Director for the Transformation Team at the Manufacturing Technology Centre since February 2016. Throughout a distinguished career, Steve has held various roles including Chief Engineer and Lead Advisor within the same transformation team. Previously, leadership positions were held at GE Power, Alstom Power, SPS Aerostructures, Dunlop Aircraft Tyres, Caparo AP Braking, and Marrill Engineering, showcasing expertise in manufacturing methods, production management, and continuous improvement. Steve's academic background includes an MBA in Business Strategy from ThePower, a Master of Science in Engineering Business Management from Coventry University, and a Bachelor of Science in Project Management from The Open University.
