Brandi Baker has several years of experience in various roles within different organizations. Brandi is currently working as the Manager of Program Execution at MAGNET: The Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network. Prior to this, they worked as the Assistant Director of Multicultural Affairs/Office of Inclusion at Ohio University - Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine from 2015 to 2020. Brandi also worked as a Career Technical Education Teacher at Education Service Center from 2014 to 2015. Before that, they served as the Economic Access Initiative-First Generation Program Coordinator at The Ohio State University from 2012 to 2014, and as the Coordinator for Multicultural Student Access and Retention Services at Ohio University from 2010 to 2012. In addition, they have prior experience at Youth Opportunities Unlimited, where they held various roles such as Summer Lead Payroll Administrator, Career Coach for Jobs for Ohio Graduates, and Summer Youth Coordinator. Brandi began their career in 2005 as the Director of Shades of Color Radio Broadcast at Ohio University Television and Radio. Throughout their career, Brandi has demonstrated a strong commitment to inclusion and education.
Brandi Baker earned a Master's degree in Public Administration from Ohio University from 2006 to 2008. Brandi also obtained a Bachelor's degree from the same university from 2002 to 2006, with a major in Telecommunications-Video Production and minors in Sociology and African American Studies. In addition to their formal education, Brandi holds additional certifications. In August 2020, they became a qualified administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) through INTERCULTURAL DEVELOPMENT INVENTORY, LLC (IDI, LLC). Furthermore, in February 2022, they completed a certification in Community-Engaged and Community-Based Participatory Research through the CITI Program.
