Garret X.

Garret X. currently serves as an Associate Actuarial Director at Manulife Hong Kong and Macau since June 2024. Prior to this role, Garret held the position of Actuarial Manager at 安盛 from January 2022 to May 2024 and at AIA Hong Kong and Macau from November 2020 to January 2022, contributing to the IFRS 17 Execution Team. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Manager at Prudential Corporation Asia, focusing on Solvency II and Economic Capital modelling from April 2019 to May 2020, and as Actuarial Supervisor at Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, where participation in stress testing and insurance risk management took place from August 2016 to March 2019. Garret started the career as a Junior Manager in the Risk Management Department at TransGlobe Life Insurance Inc., managing Enterprise Risk Management projects before working as an Assistant Manager at KPMG, collaborating on economic capital model reviews. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Actuarial Studies from UNSW (2011-2012) and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from National Taiwan University (2005-2009).
