Alyssa Gebert

Alyssa Gebert is an experienced legal professional with a strong focus on corporate investment law, particularly in debt financings and private equity investments. Currently serving as Managing Director and Assistant Chief Counsel at Manulife since December 2023, Alyssa previously held the position of Director and Senior Counsel at the same company from May 2021 to September 2023. Prior to this, Alyssa gained extensive experience as an Associate at McCarthy Tétrault, specializing in banking and secured lending transactions, and as a Financial Services Associate at Aird & Berlis LLP, where the focus was on debt finance transactions and insolvency matters. Alyssa began the legal career as a Student at Law at Aird & Berlis LLP. Alyssa holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Windsor and an HBA in Political Science from the University of Toronto.
