Rocco Pigneri

Rocco Pigneri has a diverse work experience, starting in 2005 when they worked as a Parallel Algorithms Development Engineer at Dainippon Screen MFG. Co., Ltd. Rocco evaluated the parallel processing infrastructure and implemented visual comparison algorithms using C and C++.

In 2005, Rocco joined InterMed Health Technologies as a Patient Applications Architect. Rocco played a crucial role in creating personalized patient reports and analyzing patient data to show the impact of daily choices on health. Rocco also worked on documentation and testing standards for FDA market clearance.

From 2007 to 2019, Rocco worked at Lavastorm Analytics, starting as a Senior Software Engineer. Rocco spearheaded extreme programming and introduced automated unit testing, which were later adopted by the global engineering team. Rocco later transitioned into being a Professional Services Consultant, improving customer experience and providing training and consultancy services.

Since 2019, Rocco has been working at Manulife as a Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer. Additionally, they served as a Co-Chair from 2021 to 2023.

Rocco Pigneri obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, attending from 2001 to 2005.
