Alberto Abate

Alberto Abate is an experienced corporate purchasing manager currently leading raw materials procurement at Mapei since January 2024. Prior to this role, Alberto dedicated 16 years to Dow in various positions including Sales Director for West & South Europe and Israel, where responsibilities encompassed managing a team of 10 account managers, collaborating with corporate functions, and driving strategic sales initiatives. Alberto also served as Area Sales Director and Sales Manager within Dow's construction chemicals division, as well as holding sales and marketing roles at Bayer and Freyssinet. Alberto's career began as a team lead manager at Eni Energies et Services and included a teaching assistantship at Politecnico di Milano, where a Master Degree in Civil Engineering was earned.
