Bruno Aranda

Bruno Aranda has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Bruno worked as a Principal Engineer at MAPIT IoT from 2018, where they were responsible for architecture, design, and implementation of systems to process and handle high throughput data from IoT devices. Bruno also built front-end applications for customers and was a finalist in the "AWS Architecture of the Year 2020" competition.

Prior to that, Bruno served as the Managing Director of Silicon Cat Technologies, SL from 2017.

Bruno was also a Committer and PMC Member at Apache Software Foundation from 2005, specifically for the Apache MyFaces project.

On their spare time, Bruno worked as an Editor at Desconsolados from 2008, where they wrote posts and reviewed video games.

Bruno also worked as an Agile Software Developer at Hive | Centrica Connected Home from 2015 to 2019, where they built IoT products and services for Smart Homes using technologies such as AWS, Spark, Flink, and Scala.

Additionally, they worked as an IoT Consultant at Xifring from 2016 to 2018.

Bruno has co-founded Silicon Cat Ltd in 2013 and served as its Founder until 2017.

Bruno also worked as an Agile Software Consultant at Valuation Office Agency in 2015.

Bruno was subcontracted by Equal Experts as an Agile Scala Developer to work for HM Revenue & Customs from 2014 to 2015 as part of the GOV.UK Digital Transformation.

Lastly, they worked as an Associate at Equal Experts from 2013 to 2015.

Bruno Aranda earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Bruno attended the university from 1998 to 2002.
