Michael Buttigieg

Michael Buttigieg possesses extensive experience in packaging development and management within the food and flexible packaging sectors. Currently serving as the Corporate Technical Lead Packaging Manager at Maple Leaf Foods Inc since May 2013, Michael oversees packaging design for new product launches and line extensions across various meat portfolios. Previous roles include Corporate Packaging Manager at Maple Leaf Foods Inc, Technical Manager at Bemis Company, Inc., and Senior Development Associate at Alcan, where accountability for project development and innovation was paramount. Michael's early career included significant contributions at Alusuisse-Lonza Group Lawson Mardon and Lawson Mardon Flexible, focusing on leading packaging projects from concept to commercialization. Michael holds a Masters of Science in Packaging from Michigan State University and a BA in Business Administration from York University, complemented by a Chemical Technologist degree from Seneca Polytechnic.
