Michael Wood

SVP at MapLight Therapeutics

Michael Wood has a diverse work experience ranging from their roles at various pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Michael began their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School, followed by a position as a Postdoctoral Scientist at Eli Lilly and Company. Michael then transitioned to AstraZeneca, where they held several leadership positions, including Licensing and Collaboration Director. Michael later worked at Circuit Therapeutics as the SVP of Drug Discovery and Strategic Partnerships. Additionally, they have been involved in advisory roles at companies such as MapLight Therapeutics, Estrigenix Therapeutics, and Neurovation Labs. In 2019, they became an Adjunct Professor at Drexel University College of Medicine. Michael'sexpertise lies in drug discovery, pharmacology, and neuroscience.

Michael Wood completed their Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Oakland University in 1992. Following this, they pursued a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology at Duke University School of Medicine, graduating in 1996.
