MAPS’ mission is to empower, inspire, and prepare Montana’s next generation through professional media arts instruction, community service, and compassionate mentorship. We provide free year-round classes for youth ages 12-18 at our studios in Fort Belknap, Lewis & Clark, and Ravalli Counties, with special workshops for young adults ages 18–24. Our MAPS Media Lab reaches rural and Tribal communities statewide, and our Client Productions Program engages students in creating media for local organizations. We prioritize rural, low-income, and Indigenous youth, offering safe, creative spaces to build skills in communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking for future success. (MAPS was an acronym for Media Arts in the Public Schools before becoming a 501c3 nonprofit in 2004)
