Vanessa Torbenson

Vanessa Torbenson is a Consultant and Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mayo Clinic where she works as an OB Hospitalist. She is the former president of the Society of OB/Gyn Hospitalist. Her clinical focus has been in the management of routine and high-risk labor and delivery. She has worked in obstetrics for 20 years and has significant clinical experience in leading a team through obstetrical emergencies. She has an interest in simulation and experiential learning and her research focus includes obstetrics outcomes, work in peer support and examining the barriers to accessing care by migrant women.
