Julian R. Stoll

Mr. Stoll is senior vice president Value Chain Optimization of Marathon Petroleum Corporation.

Prior to joining Marathon, Mr. Stoll served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for VARO Energy in Switzerland. Prior to that, Mr. Stoll was Vice President – Refining Operations and Vice President – Business Transformation at Phillips 66, where he was accountable for the execution of value creating operational excellence and optimization efforts. During his nearly 30 years with the organization, he held roles of increasing responsibility in Engineering, Strategy & Business Development, Production Planning & Economics, Operations and Optimization; provided executive oversight for refineries throughout the U.S. and previously worked at plants in Illinois, Louisiana, Montana, and the United Kingdom (UK), where he began his career as process engineer in 1991; and provided global oversight for health, safety and environment, mechanical integrity, technology risk and major turnarounds.

Mr. Stoll graduated with a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Bath in England.
