Oscar Hernandez

Oscar Hernandez, BSME, is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the petroleum and energy sectors. Currently serving as an OEMS Senior Engineer at Marathon Petroleum Corporation since February 2020, Oscar leads the development and execution of an Operational Excellence Management System for the Gathering and Processing organization. Previous roles include Logistics Maintenance Reliability Lead at Andeavor, overseeing engineering and operational excellence during multiple acquisitions, and Reliability Engineering Supervisor at Marathon Petroleum, where Oscar developed a proactive reliability program. Additionally, Oscar has worked at bp as a Reliability Engineer and Unit Maintenance Engineer, focusing on crude and coker units, and held roles at GE and SC Johnson as a Process Engineer and Engineering Intern, respectively. Oscar holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez.
