Sean Highlander

Sean Highlander is an experienced professional in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the MPLX G&P Operations Manager at Marathon Petroleum Corporation since July 2014. Highlander's role includes leading a senior operations team to evaluate and improve the practices and training programs of the 10 refineries acquired from Andeavor in 2018. Previous positions at Marathon include Area Team Leader for both FCC/Alky and South End Area Operations, overseeing various critical units. Prior to joining Marathon, Highlander worked at Dow Chemical in several roles, including Energy Coordinator and Production Director, accumulating extensive expertise in operations management and process improvement. Highlander holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University Institute of Technology.
