Ms. Townes-Whitley is former president of U.S. Regulated Industries of Microsoft.
Ms. Townes-Whitley served as president of U.S. Regulated Industries for Microsoft from 2018 to 2021 and served as corporate vice president of Global Industry from 2015 to 2018. Prior to her leadership roles at Microsoft, she was president and chief operating officer for CGI Federal from 2011 to 2015 and Senior Vice President from 2010 to 2011. Additionally, Ms. Townes-Whitley held several executive roles at Unisys Corporation.
Ms. Townes-Whitley holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy & Economics from Princeton University and certifications from Wharton Executive Education, New York University (NYU) and the Performance Management Institute.
Ms. Townes-Whitley serves on the boards of directors of Nasdaq, Inc. and The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. She also serves as a member of the boards of directors of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, Partnership for Public Services and Princeton University’s Faith and Work Initiative. She is a member of the board of trustees of John Hopkins Medicine and an advisor to The Women’s Center of Northern Virginia.
