COMPANY OVERVIEW: Marburn Academy is an independent day school devoted to serving the educational needs of students who learn differently due to dyslexia, executive function difficulties, and attention issues including ADHD. Founded in 1981 with 12 students, Marburn now educates over 370 students year-round in its day school and summer programs. Marburn Academy is the only school in Central Ohio with academic and co-curricular programs designed to address the full range of unique learning and personal development needs of children with learning differences such as dyslexia and ADHD. Students from more than 37 Central Ohio communities attend the school. Marburn Academy is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS.) Marburn Academy is also a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the Ohio Association of Independent Schools (OAIS). Marburn is accredited by the Independent School Association of the Central States (ISACS) and is one of only 18 schools in the nation to have its language instruction program accredited by the Orton-Gillingham Academy (OGA). In 2018, Marburn was named an Apple Distinguished School, the first K-12 school in Central Ohio to receive the distinction.
