Nikki Boyd began their career in 2001 as a Recreation employee at E. P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park before moving on to Jefferson County Public Schools in 2008 as a Program Specialist. In 2015, they became the Coordinator of Health and Wellness at Norton Children's Hospital. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Maternal Infant Health Initiatives at March of Dimes since 2022.
Nikki Boyd has a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine from the University of Louisville. Nikki also holds several certifications, including being a Dr. Sears Wellness Institute Certified Health Coach, a Certified Health Coach from UNCG Health Coaching Programs, and a Fitness Nutrition Specialist (FNS) from the American Council on Exercise (ACE Fitness). In addition, they are certified as a Weight Management Specialist by ACE Fitness and as a Child Passenger Safety Technician by Safe Kids Worldwide. Nikki also has experience as an Open Airways for Schools Facilitator through the American Lung Association.
