Weijing Xiao has a diverse range of work experience in the fashion industry. Weijing most recently worked as the Head of Couture Atelier at Marchesa starting in July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Carolina Herrera as part of the Atelier & Development team from January 2022 to May 2022. In 2021, they had roles at Oscar de la Renta in Design & Atelier from May to September and at DION LEE in Design & Development from January to May, where they focused on leather bag designs and assisted in various aspects of the development process. In 2020, they worked at Adam Lippes in Fabric Research & Development from September to January and as a Research Assistant at Parsons School of Design - The New School from February to June. In 2019, they had several roles including being a Contributing Writer and Assistant to the Creative Director at Harper's Bazaar, a Design & Production Assistant at Fleur du Mal, a Couture Embroidery Apprentice at Maison Xianghong, and a Millinery Designer at Ellen Christine Couture, Inc.

Weijing Xiao has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Fashion/Apparel Design from Parsons School of Design - The New School. They also attended The New School for their Master of Fine Arts Programs, specializing in Narratives in Sound, Fluid Machines, Performance and Technology, and Quantum Computing. Additionally, Weijing Xiao studied TV/Films and Photography/Imaging at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Prior to their higher education, they attended Shanghai High School, where they focused on engineering.

Weijing Xiao has received several certifications and awards, including being a Bridge to Basel Competition Finalist awarded by the Fashion For All Foundation in November 2022, having their Couture Gown acquired by the Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum Permanent Collection in February 2022, and obtaining the IBM Quantum Practitioner Certificate from IBM in January 2022. They were also recognized as an awardee of the Reed Krakoff Endow Fund by Coach in November 2021, a finalist for the CFDA Scholarship Award by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) in June 2021, and a finalist for the Re:Generation Scholarship Award by SWAROVSKI in June 2021. Weijing Xiao has also been listed on the New York Fashion Week FFGS Official Calendar by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) in 2022.
