Denise Schmid

Denise Schmid is currently the Head of Tax, Legal & Compliance at Marcuard Family Office. Denise has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in private funds.

Denise began their career as a legal secretary at Bezirksgericht Zürich. Denise then worked as an associate at Walder Wyss & Partners Ltd. before moving to Debevoise & Plimpton as a contract lawyer. In 2006 Denise joined UBS AG as a director, and they spent four years there before moving to Bank Julius Bär & Co. AG as an executive director in 2010.

In 2010 Denise also joined a family office as legal counsel, and they remained there until 2014. Since then they have been with Marcuard Family Office, where they are currently the Head of Tax, Legal & Compliance.

Denise Schmid has a MBA in finance from the University of Cape Town, they have a law degree from the University of Zurich and a lic. iur. from Universidad de Alicante. Denise is currently taking the Bar Exam.

They are on a team with Marie Pestalozzi - Senior Investment Advisor, Partner, Peter Stocker - Senior Partner, Tax, Legal & Compliance, and Sabrina Jud - Head, Portfolio Management Services & Portfolio Manager. Denise Schmid reports to Martin Sutter, CEO, Managing Partner.
